Privacy Policy

Pivot Insurance Solutions LLC, DBA Pivot Brokerage

Effective Date: 9/13/2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Pivot Insurance Solutions LLC, doing business as Pivot Brokerage (“Pivot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and discloses personal information through our website at pivot-brokerage.com (the “Site”) and in the course of providing our insurance brokerage services.

Pivot is a licensed insurance brokerage that helps individuals (“you,” “Consumers”) obtain life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, and annuity products through licensed insurance carriers. Pivot does not offer securities or variable insurance products and is not affiliated with, and is not registered as, a broker-dealer or investment adviser.

This Policy applies to Consumers, prospective Consumers, and visitors who interact with our Site or with a licensed Pivot agent.

Scope of This Policy

This Policy uses the term “Personal Information” to describe information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. This includes “nonpublic personal information” as defined by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) and its implementing regulations, and may include information governed by other applicable state privacy laws.

Because Pivot facilitates the sale of insurance products, most of the Personal Information we collect is used to quote, underwrite, and place insurance policies with carriers, and is treated as nonpublic personal financial information under GLBA. This Policy does not govern information collected or used by the third-party insurance carriers you ultimately apply to — those carriers maintain their own privacy policies for information you provide directly to them.

Pivot is currently licensed as a business entity in New York and intends to expand its licensing to additional states. This Policy is written to apply to Consumers nationwide and includes state-specific rights sections (for example, California) that will apply as Pivot becomes licensed and conducts business in those states.

Personal Information We Collect

The categories of Personal Information we may collect depend on how far you are in the quote or application process. Categories marked with an asterisk (*) are treated as sensitive Personal Information under applicable state laws.

Category What We Collect & How

Contact Information Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address. Collected when you submit a quote request or contact form on the Site, sign up for our email list, or work directly with a licensed Pivot agent.

Identification Information* Social Security number or similar government-issued identification number. Collected only when you submit a formal insurance application through your secure, login-protected Pivot account — not through the general quote-request form on the Site.

Demographic Information* Date of birth, age, marital status, and sex/gender. Collected as part of the quote process, since carriers require this information to price insurance accurately.

Financial Information* Income, net worth, and other asset or financial information. Collected as part of the quote and application process to assess insurable need and eligibility for the products you request.

Health Information* Medical history and health conditions. Collected only as part of a formal insurance application submitted through your secure Pivot account, as required by the insurance carrier's underwriting process.

Internet or Network Activity Automatically collected information about your use of the Site, such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring/exit pages, through cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" below.

Commercial Information The insurance products you inquire about or apply for, and information about the resulting policy or application (e.g., carrier, product type, status).

We do not collect biometric information (such as fingerprints or voiceprints) or precise geolocation data through the Site.

How We Use the Personal Information We Collect

We may use Personal Information to:

● Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;

● Respond to your quote requests and other inquiries;

● Prepare, complete, and submit insurance applications to carriers on your behalf;

● Communicate with you about your quote, application, or policy;

● Verify your identity and prevent fraud;

● Comply with insurance regulatory, licensing, and recordkeeping requirements; and

● Protect our rights, property, and safety, and the rights, property, and safety of others.

We do not use health information or Social Security numbers for advertising or marketing purposes.

How We Share the Personal Information We Collect

With Insurance Carriers and Underwriters

Sharing your information with the insurance carrier(s) you are applying to is the core purpose of our services — carriers need this information to quote, underwrite, and issue your policy.

With Service Providers

We may share Personal Information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, application/quoting platforms, e-signature services, and IT security providers. These vendors are only permitted to use your information to provide services to Pivot.

We Do Not Use Lead Vendors

Pivot does not purchase or receive consumer inquiries from third-party lead vendors. All inquiries come to us directly through our own marketing and referrals.

With Affiliates

Pivot is currently a single-entity LLC and does not share Personal Information with corporate affiliates. If this changes, we will update this Policy.

With Law Enforcement or as Required by Law

We may disclose Personal Information to comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.

No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information to data brokers or advertising networks, and we do not use your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze website traffic and improve your browsing experience, as disclosed in the cookie banner on our Site.

Our Site also uses Google reCAPTCHA on our contact and quote-request forms to help prevent spam and fraudulent submissions. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being used; doing so may affect some Site functionality. Our Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals but will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from, individuals under 16 years of age. If a minor is named as an insured or beneficiary on a policy, that information is provided to us by the adult policyholder, not by the minor. If we learn we have collected Personal Information from a child under 16 without appropriate consent, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your Personal Information. These rights are not absolute, and in some cases we may decline a request as permitted by law.

● Right to Know / Access — request the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you, and the purposes for which we use it.

● Right to Correct — request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information.

● Right to Delete — request deletion of your Personal Information, subject to our obligation to retain certain records under state insurance recordkeeping laws.

● Right to Opt Out (GLBA) — under the GLBA, you may direct us not to share your nonpublic personal financial information with nonaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. Pivot does not currently share information for this purpose, but you may still submit an opt-out request at any time.

● Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — request that we limit our use of sensitive categories (such as health, financial, or identification information) to what is necessary to provide our services.

● Right to Non-Discrimination — you will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in “Contact Us” below. We are required to verify your identity before completing most requests, and may ask for additional information to do so. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, we may also require you to independently confirm your identity and your authorization of that agent.

Additional Rights for California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended, gives you the rights described above, as well as the right to know the categories of third parties with whom we have disclosed your Personal Information for a business purpose in the preceding 12 months (see “How We Share the Personal Information We Collect”).

We do not sell or share Personal Information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide a mechanism to opt out.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as needed to provide our services, satisfy state insurance recordkeeping and licensing requirements, defend against legal claims, and otherwise fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Retention periods vary by state and by the type of record involved; when we no longer have a legitimate business or legal need to retain information, we will delete or de-identify it.

Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information, including requiring a secure, login-protected account for the submission of Social Security numbers and health information as part of a formal application. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to maintaining and improving these safeguards.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our Site is built using a third-party website platform and may link to insurance carrier websites, applications, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on our Site and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
